A sandcastle and kite-flying event for kids and families will be held March 20 at the 8th Street beach. The free event, sponsored by the Seal Beach Chamber & Business Assn., is open to all ages. Bring your own kite, but equipment will be provided for building sandcastles. The sandcastle event starts at 10 a.m. and the kite flying starts at 11 a.m. Information: (562) 799-0179.
