Young threw two no-hitters in helping the Monarchs to a third-place finish in the Mohave Tournament of Champions in Bullhead City, Ariz. In a 7-0, six-inning victory against Lake Havasu (Ariz.), Young struck out 12 and had two hits, including a two-run homer. In the third-place game, Young had 13 strikeouts and three hits in a 9-0 victory against Greenway (Ariz).
