* The Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Ventura County has promoted Jonathan Willis to the position of quality assurance auditor and Marietta Jablonka to program development specialist.
CCCS is a nonprofit agency that provides financial counseling, money management education and debt liquidation as an alternative to bankruptcy.
* The California Assn. of Leadership Programs presented its 1999 Distinguished Leadership Award to Rudy Gonzales, regional manager with Southern California Edison in Thousand Oaks, for his involvement in community activities.
Also, Harry Lee of Camarillo, president of the Ventura County Leadership Academy, was elected vice president of the statewide organization.
He previously had served on its board of directors and as treasurer.
* Attorney Ellen Marie Bass has joined the Oxnard law firm of Nordman, Cormany, Hair & Compton.
She previously worked as a clerk in the Haynes and Boone law firm in Texas.
She will concentrate on labor and employment law.
* Brad Golden has been named account manager in charge of sales for the commercial-industrial and subdivision units of Chicago Title in Ventura and Los Angeles counties.
He will be responsible for cultivating new title and escrow business for the firm.
Golden previously was a sales representative for Lawyers Title.
* Creative Professionals, a Simi Valley-based supplier of printed circuit boards to the electronic industry, has hired J. Morgan Durfee as its sales manager.
He will be responsible for developing and implementing a corporate sales plan and conducting a market analysis to expand the customer base.
Durfee previously worked as corporate product marketing manager with Pioneer Electronics and Anthem Electronics.
