Jewish Life Is Focus of Photo Contest

Young people between the ages of 11 and 18 are invited to participate in the Jewish Federation’s Los Angeles-Tel Aviv Partnership’s youth photography contest. Winning photographs will be shown at the Tel Aviv Museum, the Skirball Cultural Center, and the Finegood Art Gallery of the Jewish Federation / Valley Alliance.
Young people of all denominations are encouraged to participate. The subject matter must deal with Jewish life in the Los Angeles area, in one of the following categories: people, objects, family life, outdoors, spirituality, food, humor, city and contemporary life. Photos must be 8 by 10 inches, and may be black-and-white or color; they should be labeled on the back with name, address and phone number. They must be accompanied by the negative and by a one-paragraph essay explaining the Jewish connection.
