The Brea Art Gallery will open the 79th annual National Watercolor Exhibition with a free reception Saturday.
More then 100 watercolor paintings from around the county will hang on the gallery walls from Saturday through Dec. 19.
Watercolor painting seminars will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturdays starting Nov. 6 in council chambers. The fee is $20 per lecture or $40 for the entire series. Brea residents receive a $5 discount on each lecture. Children 6 and older can create their own watercolors at a special “Watercolor for Kids” class held at 2 p.m. Nov. 30.
