So Will Manage Disneyland Pacific Hotel

Johnny So has been named general manager of the Disneyland Pacific Hotel in Anaheim. He had been vice president of hotel operations for the Desert Inn Resort in Las Vegas. So has also been general manager of the Sheraton El Conquistador Resort & Country Club in Tucson, general manager of the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson and director of restaurants for Loews Anatole Hotel in Dallas.

* David Lakso has joined GTC Telecom in Costa Mesa as vice president of business development. He had been vice president of alternate channel sales, Pacific region for Qwest Communications.

* Jeff Tropsa has been appointed director, process industries sales for IndX Software Corp. in Aliso Viejo. He had been director of marketing at ObjectAutomation. Before that, Tropsa spent 12 years with Honeywell’s Industrial Automation and Control division. Elliott Middleton has joined the company as product manager. During his 13 years at AspenTech and Setpoint--acquired by AspenTech in 1996--Middleton served in several software product management positions, most recently as director of strategic marketing, information management.

* Stan Braden has been elected to a two-year term as president of the Cal Poly Pomona Alumni Assn. He is president and principal of KTGY Group Inc., an Irvine architectural and planning firm.
