Brokers to Aid Charity at Event by the Breakers

Local real estate brokers will draw a line in the sand at Santa Monica Beach on Thursday to raise money for charity for the 13th straight year.
The annual Los Angeles Broker Challenge will pit teams representing real estate brokerages, investment firms and development companies in athletic competitions to benefit Family Service of Santa Monica, a nonprofit social services agency.
Events will include beach volleyball, surfboard relays, a basketball shootout, a closest-to-the-pin golf shot and doubles paddle tennis. The public may join the competitors for cocktails, dinner and an auction that begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are $75.
The Los Angeles Broker Challenge has raised more than $850,000 for Family Service. This year’s event will be presented by the Los Angeles Commercial Realty Assn. and hosted by Arden Realty Inc.
