It could be Judgment Day for the historic Gilbert Kraemer House on Angelina Street.
Jeffrey Lee, the owner of the 71-year-old structure, said he doesn’t have the money to fix up the place. He’s banking on the Planning Commission to let him build 12 more homes on the 1.5-acre lot so he can raise what he needs to do it.
Lee plans to build 12 units next to the home at 525 N. Angelina St. The money earned from those homes would be spent to fix up the rundown Kraemer House, which was built in 1918.
The Planning Commission will vote on his proposal tonight at its meeting in council chambers at City Hall, 401 E. Chapman Ave.
