Rettmann ran the fastest time of the day when she won the girls’ Division II junior/senior race at the Laguna Hills Invitational Saturday. Rettmann covered the hilly, three-mile layout in 18 minutes 16 seconds, which was 24 seconds faster than her closest pursuers, Newport Harbor’s Amber Steen and Santa Margarita’s Lori Mann, who had last season’s fastest time.
