Lindros’ Return Uncertain

The return of Eric Lindros to the Philadelphia Flyers is still uncertain because of lingering headaches. Lindros, recovering from a Grade 2 concussion, remained in Philadelphia on Tuesday while his teammates were in Buffalo for Game 4 of their Eastern Conference playoff series. On Monday, Lindros consulted by phone with his neurologist Dr. James Kelly of Chicago. Last week, Lindros was cleared to ride a stationary bike.

Richard Burke, who bought the Winnipeg Jets and brought them to Phoenix four years ago, has agreed to sell the Phoenix Coyotes to the developer building a new arena for the club. Several Arizona media outlets reported the selling price is $87 million. The deal, which requires the approval of the NHL’s Board of Governors, is expected to close by June 30. The new owner, Ellman Cos., is already working on the $535 million redevelopment of a shopping mall in suburban Scottsdale that will include a new arena for the Coyotes. . . . Edmonton forward Boyd Devereaux, out with a severe concussion since April 1, will miss the rest of the playoffs. Tests showed he suffered bruising of the brain.
