High Desert Defeats Lancaster, 6-1

Jeff Brooks hit a three-run home run and High Desert defeated Lancaster, 6-1, in a California League game Thursday night at Adelanto. Lancaster is 43-18, High Desert 23-39.

A two-out, four-run rally on five consecutive hits in the second inning gave the visiting JetHawks a 4-2 victory over the San Bernardino Stampede on Wednesday night.
Travis McClendon, Harvey Hargrove, Antonio Perez and Freddie May delivered run-scoring singles after Wilfredo Quintana tripled with two out in the second.
Melqui Torres (7-4) gave up six hits, struck out six and walked three in 6 2/3 innings. Alan Simpson gave up one hit in the final 1 2/3 to record his sixth save.
