Effective Monday, the home-delivered price of The Times will increase to $4.50 per week for daily and Sunday service. The increase is due to rising operation, distribution and newsprint costs at The Times. The last price change for home delivery service was in 1996.
There will be no increase for daily-only or Sunday-only service or single-copy rates.
The new rate includes applicable California sales taxes and affects all subscribers. It will go into effect in those parts of Los Angeles, Ventura, San Bernardino, Riverside and Santa Barbara counties where subscribers are billed directly by The Times.
