A man suspected of killing three people during a three-state rampage that started with the death of a 25-year-old Oklahoma woman was arrested at a motel in Union City, Tenn. Steven Ray Thacker, 29, of Chouteau, Okla., was arrested and charged as a fugitive from justice and with the theft of a vehicle, Union City Police Chief Joe Garner said. He also is considered the prime suspect in the late December death of Laci Dawn Hill of Bixby, Okla.; the stabbing death of Forrest Boyd, 24, of Polk County, Mo., on Saturday; and the killing of a tow truck driver in Dyersburg, Tenn., early Sunday, Garner said. Thacker was arrested after an officer noticed Boyd’s car, Garner said. Thacker was registered under another name and had dyed his hair. Law officers targeted him after a surveillance video showed him using Hill’s credit cards. His arraignment was scheduled for today.
