Mater Dei’s Scoggin Picks Nevada Las Vegas

Mater Dei guard Steve Scoggin has made a commitment to attend Nevada Las Vegas, Mater Dei officials said Saturday.

Scoggin, a four-year varsity player and three-year starter, was The Times’ Orange County player of the year last season after averaging 14.3 points and shooting 42% from three-point range.

Scoggin has helped the Monarchs to a Southern Regional championship, three Southern Section titles and four league titles.
