Conspiracy Theory Has Statewide Scope
It is no surprise that innocent victims are fighting state unions who, in cahoots with the California Democratic Legislature and Gov. Gray Davis, conspired to confiscate $45 million a year from 75,000 state employees as a payback for union election contributions [“Cal State Professors Sue State, Union Over Dues,” Feb. 25].
Workers found their salaries attached by unions that want money to finance their liberal politics and maintain their power.
The union and government taking are no different than a gang claiming its turf by shaking down people in its jurisdiction. What has happened to this country when the taking of private property is enacted by a Democratic Legislature and Gov. Davis as a payback to a third party for putting them in power through fortunes given in campaign contributions?
What would have happened had a private company engaged in a similar scam?
