Expansion of St. Joseph’s
We are quite pleased with the resounding approval by Ventura County voters to our project to build a 60-bed skilled nursing facility at St. Joseph’s Health and Retirement Center.
I only wish that we had not had to spend about $150,000 to be on the ballot and to gain a favorable vote. It would have been much better to use that money on the project itself.
We will now do a major fund-raising effort to pay for the construction of the building. It is our hope that we have our new facility ready for occupancy by the end of 2001.
