Anatomy of a Trade
With the NHL’s trade deadline today, here’s a look at what’s become of the players involved in the Mighty Ducks’ biggest trade. The 1996 deal sent Oleg Tverdovsky, Chad Kilger and a 1996 third-round draft pick to Winnipeg (now Phoenix) for Teemu Selanne, Marc Chouinard and a 1996 fourth-round pick.
Where Are they Now?
Teemu Selanne . . . Ducks’ second-leading scorer and perennial All-Star.
Oleg Tverdovsky . . . defenseman traded back to Ducks last June.
Chad Kilger . . . traded to Edmonton.
Marc Chouinard . . . with Ducks’ minor league affiliate in Cincinnati.
Draft picks . . . neither presently in NHL.
