The City Council on Tuesday will hear a report about the red gum lerp psyllid infestations of local eucalyptus trees.
The small, white fly native to Australia creates a sticky substance that stains cars and sidewalks.
The committee, composed of Mayor Collene Campbell and Councilman John Greiner, was asked to explore the possibility of changing the municipal code regarding tree removal, and see if changes can be made to combat the lerp psyllid.
The City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at 32400 Paseo Adelanto.
