Programs Announced for Chamber Music Season

The Laguna Chamber Music Society and the Philharmonic Society of Orange County have announced their 2000-01 season of chamber music programs at the Irvine Barclay Theatre.
The series--the ninth co-produced by the groups--will open Oct. 24, with violinist Julia Fischer and pianist Milana Chernyavska playing works by Tartini, Beethoven and Franck.
The series will continue:
* Nov. 20--Ysaye Quartet playing a French program of music by Ravel, Debussy and Chausson.
* Jan. 4--Diaz String Trio, with guest violinist James Buswell, program to be announced.
* Feb. 8--Lanier Trio, program to be announced.
* March 5--Lark Quartet and pianist-composer Peter Schickele, works by Schickele and others.
* March 19--Ying Quartet and pianist Jon Nakamatsu, Brahms’ Piano Quintet in F minor and other works.
All programs will begin at 8 p.m. The theater is at 4242 Campus Drive. Series tickets: $89 to $155. Information: (949) 249-2404.
