LA MIRADA — A dead baby that had been in a hospital morgue in Torrance turned up Friday in some bedsheets at a laundry in La Mirada.
The premature infant, which had been born dead, was found by workers at the Bellwood Laundry when they unwrapped some sheets from Little Company of Mary Hospital.
“Although there does not appear to be any criminal wrongdoing,” said Scott Carrier of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, an autopsy will be done and the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body will be examined.
