Ice Dogs Shut Out the Vipers

Alexei Yegorov scored twice in the first period as the Long Beach Ice Dogs defeated the Detroit Vipers, 4-0, before 6,820 in International Hockey League action at the Long Beach Arena.
Mike Crowley scored the lone goal of the second period when he came down the left side and put the puck over Viper goalie Trevor Koenig’s shoulder.
Doug Ast scored at 3:29 of the third period to seal the Ice Dogs’ third consecutive victory.
Ice Dog goalie Nikolai Khabibulin picked up his fourth shutout of the season.
