Grass clippings, leaves and wood chips will be hauled off the same day as regular neighborhood trash collection when the city’s green waste recycling program begins next week.
Residents must provide barrels or plastic bags for the collection, said Ken Montgomery, director of public works.
Authorities expect to generate nearly 300,000 pounds of yard waste each month just from Laguna Niguel, said Daniel Batty, recycling manager at Solag Disposal Inc. in San Juan Capistrano.
