Finalists Named in Vocal Competition

Eleven finalists have been named in the Artists of the Future Voice Competition sponsored by the Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department.

The finalists will be presented in a free concert May 20 at 7 p.m. at the Madrid Theatre, 21622 Sherman Way, Canoga Park.

First prize is $2,000; second prize, $1,500; third prize, $1,000.

The singers are sopranos Michelle Caravia, B’Randy Francesca Brooks, Corinne Larsen, Genevieve Marie Grimm, Meredith Ann Durrett, Christina Borgioli and Desiree Hassler; tenors Vladimir Mindoljevic and Jose Alvarez; and baritones Ryan McKinny and Daniel Klein.
