Picnic to Celebrate Icelandic Culture

Cal Lutheran University will host a picnic today celebrating Icelandic culture. The family picnic will feature seafood and meats, as well as entertainment by Icelandic musicians and puppeteers.
The picnic, sponsored by the Leif Eriksson Millennium Commission, is part of the 1,000th anniversary celebration of the Viking’s exploration and settlement of North America.
The picnic will be held in the university’s Kingsmen’s Park from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free but guests will be charged for food. For further information on the picnic, call (805) 493-3151.
