Waves Give Up Late Goals, Lose, 2-1

Mario Longo scored the game-winner off a corner kick by Tim Sahaydak in the 90th minute to give MLS Pro-40 a 2-1 victory over the Waves in an A-League soccer game in front of 1,478 Friday at Santa Ana Stadium.

MLS Pro-40 (2-2) trailed, 1-0, but scored the tying goal in the 82nd minute when Esmundo Rodrigues scored on a header off an assist from John Wilson.

The Waves (4-3) took a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute when Jose Vasquez scored on a penalty kick.
