Pilot Allegedly Flew in a Restricted Area

A pilot for a Puerto Rican commuter airline has been temporarily suspended for allegedly flying over a restricted U.S. Navy area on the island of Vieques during operations to remove protesters, the airline said. Osvaldo Gonzalez, owner of Vieques Air Link, said that Capt. Jim Stark, commander of the Roosevelt Roads Naval Station, called him to complain that one of the airline’s planes had flown over Camp Garcia about an hour after U.S. marshals and FBI agents had begun clearing protesters from the bombing range.
