Not Her Favorite Plant

Shame on you! “Where the Wild Things Are” (by Susan Heeger, SoCal Style, April 9) is not the first time I have seen gardens proudly featuring Pennisetum setaceum or other invasives lauded in the garden section.

One needs only drive Highway 1 or the San Diego Freeway to see how this predator has replaced the native flora.
