Huntway Refining Shows Loss for Quarter

Huntway Refining Co. in Newhall reported a net loss of $254,000 for the first quarter ended March 31 compared with net income of $21,000 for the same period in 1999. However, revenue nearly doubled to $23.9 million over $12.6 million.
Huntway owns and operates refineries in Wilmington and Benecia, which primarily produce liquid asphalt.
