Brea Head Start will be hosting its annual Transition Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at City Hall Park. An estimated 68 children 3 to 4 years old will make puppets, string beads, get their faces painted and watch the “balloon man” make inflatable shapes. Watch for a wandering Dr. Seuss-like “Cat in the Hat,” who will tell stories.
Transition Day is designed to help children make the transition into kindergarten. Students and teachers from nearby elementary schools will be on hand to help the kids learn about their future school.
City Hall Park is on Brea Boulevard, between Date and Elm streets. For more information, call (714) 990-4391.
