In Division II:
Hilde sets record--Servite High freshman Michael Hilde set a Division II record with 601.80 points to win the boys’ diving title at Claremont McKenna Aquatics Complex.
Hilde’s total broke the 1999 record of 589.60 points by defending champion Louie Gagnet of University.
Gagnet, a junior, finished second this time with 582.85 points.
“It’s my first CIF meet, so I’m really happy,” Hilde said. “I came in thinking second would be really good for me.”
