Local artists were recognized recently by Mayor Anna Piercy and City Atty. William Wynder after the Celebrate the Arts event, where several dance scholarships and cash prizes for works of art were awarded. Elementary school winners were presented with ribbons and gifts of easels and art supplies. Resident Ron Hoshi was given the highest honor, Outstanding Contribution to the Arts, by the Cypress Cultural Arts Commission.
