FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. — A teenager was charged Monday in the carjacking and killing of a 71-year-old electrician, two days after he and two other teens were arrested driving the man’s 1987 sport utility vehicle.
Adam Hoover, 16, was charged with first-degree murder, armed carjacking and robbery. James Pease, 18, and Louise Loveland, 17, were charged with being accessories after the fact to murder. The three were arrested Saturday after a worried family member searching for James C. Edwards saw the teenagers driving Edwards’ 13-year-old Grand Wagoneer and called police.
Edwards’ body was found nearby; he had been shot in the head.
