Ken Stancil has been named boys’ basketball coach at Santa Ana Valley High, Athletic Director Leon Smith announced Tuesday.
Stancil, who will give up his position as activities director at the school, was the Falcons’ varsity coach from 1989 to 1991 and an assistant from 1986 to 1989.
He replaces Kevin Stipp, who resigned in April to explore opportunities closer to his home in Murrieta.
