Cleaning Woman Slain in Laguna Hills Apartment

A cleaning lady was found slain Friday afternoon in an empty apartment in Laguna Hills, authorities said.
Investigators said a fellow worker found the body of Irma Jimenez, 39, about 2 p.m. after the woman did not answer a call via walkie-talkie. She had been cleaning an apartment in the Prado Apartments complex in the 24500 block of Los Alisos Boulevard.
Investigators in Riverside County detained a man for questioning after he was seen walking away from a car on Ortega Highway with blood smeared on his hands.
The man has not been charged, said a sheriff’s spokesman.
The location, near the Cleveland National Forest, is 25 miles from the murder scene and the two incidents do not appear to be related, said officials.
Police did not release Jimenez’s address.
