Motorola Inc. said that it will build a facility in Farmington Hills, Mich., to produce electronic components and systems for use in automobiles. The company wouldn’t disclose its investment in the facility, a 125,000-square-foot building on a 23-acre site that is anticipated to accommodate 500 employees. The plant will nearly double the size of existing locations serving automotive customers and accommodate future growth, according to Motorola, which supplies computer chips, electronic systems and communications products to the automotive industry.
