Regarding “Cruising Norway’s Highway 1” (May 14): We took the trip from Kirkenes to Bergen, Norway, and our experience was similar to the one described in the article. The elevator was broken, too, making it necessary to take the stairs to our fourth-floor room. However, the scenery was spectacular, the hotels excellent.
