Florida-to-Bahamas Short Cruises Added

Taking up the slack left by the collapse of Premier Cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines said it will offer two- and three-day Bahamas cruises out of Port Canaveral, Fla., that can be combined with trips to Orlando theme parks. The cruises will begin Feb. 12, and reservations are being accepted now.
Premier had run similar family-oriented cruises on its “Big Red Boats” for years before suspending operations in September after creditors seized its ships.
Carnival’s cruises will be aboard the 1,022-passenger Tropicale. Fares begin at $179 per person, double, for the two-day itinerary, which departs Thursdays and Saturdays and includes a full day in Freeport in the Bahamas. Three-day cruises, which add a port call in Nassau, begin at $239 per person, double. Tel. (800) CARNIVAL, Internet https://www.carnival.com.
