Florida Election Workers

In the midst of all the invective against their efforts, my hat is off to the seemingly tireless citizens who gave up their Thanksgiving weekend to recount ballots in the presidential impasse in Florida.
These are the real patriots, these good folks who quietly and without spokespersons saw a tedious job through to the end in an effort to make known the wishes of all their voters. They deserve combat pay.
