* Re “Reprieve for Turkey, Aid for Needy,” Nov. 23: I wonder if Jerry, the national turkey, realizes how lucky he was to have received a pardon from President Clinton. Given his record on extending executive clemency in Texas, I imagine a lot of turkeys will be looking nervously over their wings next Thanksgiving if George W. Bush is living in the White House.
