Major Presence

Never before have so many baseball players from the region played in the major leagues. The Times Valley/Ventura County sports staff in September selected 25 players and a coaching staff to form an area dream team. Chosen were established starters Garret Anderson, Jeff Cirillo, Mike Lieberthal and Dmitri Young as well as proven veterans Kevin Appier and Todd Zeile. Here is a final look at the team, complete with a starting lineup and season statistics.
