Today is the last day for residents to submit their nominations for Cypress Family of the Year. The award recognizes families whose strong bonds serve as an inspiration to others.
Nomination forms can be picked up at the Cypress Community Center, 5700 Orange Ave., and the Cypress Branch Library, 5331 Orange Ave. The City Council will honor the selected family at its Nov. 13 meeting.
In addition to winning the title, the family also will receive a basket of gift certificates from local businesses. Information: (714) 229-6780.
