It is a minor discrepancy, but Coach Jon Mack of St. Bonaventure has a point to make.
Just one.
Three newspapers last week reported that St. Bonaventure defeated Calabasas, 46-7.
But according to Mack, who can prove his assertion with videotape, kicker Mike Barrow split the uprights and the referees signaled it was good after the Seraphs’ last touchdown in the third quarter.
However, the scoreboard operator never credited the Seraphs with the extra point.
“All the kids said something [at the time], but we told them not to worry about it and that we would get it when we watch the film,” Mack said.
OK. Point taken, er, given. St Bonaventure 47, Calabasas 7.
