7:30 TONIGHT BREA OLINDA HIGH
For years, this has been the showdown that decided the Olympic League title. Although Orange Lutheran has been beset with injuries, including sophomore quarterback Casey Whieldon’s broken collarbone, it still should be a pivotal game. Valley Christian, ranked second in Southern Section Division XI, leads the series, 14-5, but eighth-ranked Orange Lutheran has won four of the last six games, including a 35-20 victory last season. “The difference this year is we’re playing better defense,” said Valley Christian Coach Mike Wunderley, whose team has three shutouts and has allowed only 33 points.
