The Cal State Fullerton men’s soccer team has completed a run of 10 consecutive matches on the road and Coach Al Mistri hopes the Titans can finish the season strong at home.
Fullerton (9-4-1, 3-0-1 in conference) has its last five regular-season matches in Titan Stadium, including Mountain Pacific Sports Federation games against New Mexico (4-9, 2-1) today and Nevada Las Vegas (8-5-1, 2-1) Sunday.
“We’ve been through the most difficult stretch of playing we’ve ever experienced,” Mistri said.
The Titans’ final conference match is against Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Nov. 4.
The winner of the Pacific Division will be host for the conference playoffs on Nov. 10 and 12. The top two teams in each division will compete for the MPSF’s automatic NCAA tournament berth.
The Titans strengthened their position with victories over Cal State Northridge and UC Santa Barbara last weekend.
