* The Transportation Department warned the nation’s airlines that they could face legal action if they fail to tell customers about lower fares available on the Internet. The order is based on federal law that prohibits sellers of air transportation from deceiving customers, the agency said. The Air Transport Assn., which represents major airlines, didn’t immediately return calls requesting comment.
