OUTLOOK
The Trojans have good size but lack experience. If the offensive line comes together, running backs Myers and Wheeler might do some damage. Nichols is a talented athlete, a starter at quarterback and defensive back, but with only three starters returning on offense and four on defense, he needs help. Some could come from Conlin, an all-league tight end, and Sherwood, an all-league punter. Sherwood can reach the end zone on kickoffs, and he will be called on for field goals of 50 yards or more. University lost three games by a total of 12 points, including a 17-7 setback to Irvine.
