An Oscars Team Effort

While it is always flattering for any writer to get attention (‘Wake Us When It’s Over,” by William Keck, March 25), I would like to stress that through all of my experiences working on the Oscar show, I have been part of a team of writers, a team headed by the host-Whoopi Goldberg, David Letterman, Steve Martin and, for the majority of the shows, Billy Crystal.

They are always the principal architect of their performances, and they are their own best writers. Any credit given to me must be shared with the team, and especially the team captain.
