Marina Must Scramble to Beat Edison

Marina, ranked seventh in Orange County, rallied from two games down and beat No. 10 Edison, 13-15, 11-15, 15-1, 15-10, 15-3, in a Sunset League match Wednesday at Marina.

Steffin Rangel had 26 kills and 14 blocks and Drew Wilson had 21 kills and 15 digs for the Vikings (10-1, 3-0).

Sean McLaren had 32 kills and Cole Moulton had 70 assists for Edison (5-4, 2-1).

In the South Coast League:

No. 4 Capistrano Valley 3, El Toro 0--Chris Hermanas, Nic Vislay and Jared Levy each had 15 kills for the first-place Cougars (7-0, 3-0), who won, 15-2, 15-2, 15-12. Nathan Bousza had 14 kills for visiting El Toro (13-6, 1-2).

San Clemente 3, No. 9 Dana Hills 1--Nick Gardner recorded 24 kills and 28 digs as San Clemente (4-3, 2-1) won, 13-15, 15-10, 15-3, 15-6. Dusty Swenson had 17 kills and 16 digs for the Tritons. Dana Hills is 7-2, 2-1.

Mission Viejo 3, Trabuco Hills 1--Robert LeSueur and Jared Dayton had 18 kills each and Troy Anderson had 37 assists for host Mission Viejo (5-3, 1-2), which won, 15-6, 16-18, 15-6, 15-9.

Tyler Whalen had 12 kills for Trabuco Hills (2-6, 0-3).

In the Garden Grove League:

Garden Grove 3, Bolsa Grande 0--Robert Rubalcaba had 20 kills for the first-place Argonauts (10-0, 6-0), who won, 15-12, 15-9, 15-7. David Doan had 16 kills for Bolsa Grande (7-5, 3-3).

In the Orange League:

Western 3, Brea Olinda 0--Ramsey Fiapai had 13 kills for the visiting Pioneers (4-2, 2-0), who won, 15-12, 15-12, 15-11.
