Options Picked Up on Three Players

The Clippers have exercised contract option years on Lamar Odom, Corey Maggette and Jeff McInnis.
For Odom and Maggette, the news wasn’t a surprise. Both players will become restricted free agents after the 2002-03 season with the Clippers holding the right of first refusal.
For McInnis, however, it was a different story. After battling to stay with the team, he eventually became the starting point guard and led the team in assists. McInnis hoped the Clippers would not pick up the option, which meant he would be a free agent and could capitalize on his rising value.
