Brave Fishermen

Kim Murphy’s article on the treacherous life aboard an ocean-going fishing trawler was simply superb (April 10). It had everything an avid newspaper reader could expect. It was thrilling, informative, and beautifully written. Even though the factory ship described is a relatively recent development, and the crew hailed from a variety of locales and backgrounds, the writer made me feel that a similar human drama could have been written a hundred years ago.
